Naturally Built is run by people with day jobs who aren’t experts but have a strong interest in eco building, biophilic design, and sustainable living. No one’s getting rich from this site. We do this because we’re passionate about it, but keeping a website running costs money—hosting fees, domain registration, the occasional equipment purchase when something breaks.
To help cover those costs without a paywall or plastering the site with obnoxious ads, we use affiliate links.

Our Recommendations
What’s important: we only link to products and materials that we actually know about, have experience with, or genuinely think are worth considering. We don’t write articles because of affiliate opportunities. We’re not getting paid to shill products or accepting money for positive reviews.
If we link to something, there’s a reason. Maybe we’ve tested reclaimed timber suppliers for a biophilic project and found them reliable. Maybe we’ve used natural insulation in a real build and it performed well. Maybe we’ve recommended lime plaster because it solved a moisture issue in an eco-renovation. The point is there’s actual experience behind any recommendation.
Our Guiding Rule
Basic rule: if it doesn’t align with what we’d actually tell a friend asking for sustainable building advice, it doesn’t go on the site.
