The organization isn’t perfect – what professional association is? – but their sustainable design initiatives are genuinely moving the architecture profession toward better building performance. In a region where summer temperatures regularly hit 115°F and water resources are increasingly strained, that’s not just environmental virtue signaling. It’s practical necessity for creating buildings that actually work in our changing climate, which directly affects the interior environments where people spend most of their time.
